Jan Freeman Hixson wrote Wait 'til You Hear What I Heard over a period of ten years. When she shared childhood stories with friends, they encouraged her to get them on paper before she forgot them. How anyone could forget pinning a corsage on a corpse at the request of her employer (a local florist) was beyond her, but she took their advice and a book was born. She and her husband, Kenneth, have been married 36 years and live in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
