Mike Serafin

Mike Serafin was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and is a graduate of the University of Maryland. Mike began writing children's stories as a special way to stay connected with his six children during his frequent travels. Mike's fun-loving story-telling brings to life whimsical characters capturing the essence of childhood adventure and friendships.

Mike's travels inspired his first two children's books "7 Stories from Baghdad" and "4 Seasons of Baghdad" "Petra the Praying Mantis Protecting the Avenues" is the first book in the Petra series. These are a collection of stories inspired by summers spent on Mike's grandparents' farm in Northcentral Wisconsin.

Mike currently lives in Virginia and enjoys spending time with his six children.
