Gigi Kwik Gronvall

Gigi Kwik Gronvall is an immunologist and professor at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. She writes about biotechnology, biosecurity, and how scientific advances shape our lives—from the medicines we take to the choices governments make. Her book Our Biological Future explores the promise of biology and the decisions that determine who will benefit from it.

Gronvall has advised the U.S. government on biosafety and biosecurity. She lives in Baltimore, where she also performs with Baltimore's Marching Ravens.
