Ray M. Vento resides in New York City and was raised in Los Angeles, where he was immersed in the warmth and rich narratives of a large Italian-American family. These formative experiences, characterized by perseverance, wit, and the cadence of daily life, became the foundation for his lasting fascination with memory and heritage.

Motivated by a deep passion for genealogy, history, travel, and storytelling, Ray has devoted years to meticulously collecting family records, photographs, and oral histories to preserve his family's legacy. His published works include three children’s books: Nonno's Pocket Watch, Over the Ivy Covered Fence, and A Boy at Heart.
