I am a native Tennessean, author, illustrator, artist. My books are loosely based on real life Tennessee criminal cases and life experiences. Diamond Dust, my central heroine , somewhat resembles me! I make myself laugh when I write because I base my characters on people I know and I can make those I don't care for the "bad guy" or even kill them off in my books. What great therapy! Most of the time I don't know where the story is going, they create themselves. I love it when somebody asks me when is my next Diamond Dust story coming out.
