Mrs. Tracy L Snowman

Author/Illustrators Tracy and Scott Snowman have had a passion for art since they met in high school art class. They both hold Master’s Degrees from the University of Illinois in Springfield with a focus in children’s literature and illustration. The couple has been teaching art for over 30 years. Both are currently professors at Spoon River College in Canton, IL. They also own and operate Snowman Studios Gallery in historic downtown Canton as well as Snowman’s Reindeer Farm in rural Orion Township.

They published their first book in 2011 called ‘TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE A GREEN CHRISTMAS. It was during the process of illustrating that book the couple had their first conversations about adopting reindeer. Finally, in 2015 Santa brought Klaus (a 4-month-old baby boy) and Nutmeg (a 16-month-old girl) to the Snowman’s for adoption. Their second book, REINDEER KISSES, was published in 2016. This book was written to help children and families everywhere learn more about Santa’s magical reindeer through the eyes of Klaus and Nutmeg.
