Nicole Hubbard

Artist and author Nicole Hubbard writes adventure fantasy to escape the social obscurity she's lived in up through those early years in school and up through high school. A bit of traveling through the US and Italy has helped to fuel the idea bank. She lives in the very Golden Sunny State where the sun never sets, and she is prone to listening to the same song for two hours straight to get into the writing groove, anything from bawdry Irish pub songs to modern American pop/rock or alternative bands as long as they tell a good story.

Nicole has recieved various awards for art, including First, Second, and Third Place prizes in the Pacific Union College (PUC) Student Art Exhibition in 2010 for sculpture, printmaking, drawing, and stained glass. She also received the First Place honor at the 2014 annual Chalk on the Walk festival in her home town. It was all she could do to survive the charms of small town life Her most recent series, DA SHADOW PHANTOM, was written mostly in the Google Docs feature with her best friend and college roommate, Elizabeth Stottlemyer.

After many character rows in this Teen/Young Adult saga that vent their own life challenges and frustrations, DA SHADOW PHANTOM is ready to come to the public. VOLUME ONE Is available on Smashwords and Amazon Kindle, soon to be followed by the rest of its 40 or so brethren.

Author and graphic designer Elizabeth Stottlemyer is the co-author of both the DA SHADOW PHANTOM series and THE BALANCERS series. The latter is, after all, her brain child, and a very devious and strategically planned one at that. She has the ingratiating love of reading and writing fantasy stories, as well as an incorrigible number of web comics in her spare time. Together with Nicole, she has had a lot of fun developing her characters, Corvo and Daelach, along with countless other odd and intriguing characters that make appearances in both of the series. Both writers still keep in touch and write together often.
