Born August 6, 1944 in Virginia, Sheldon Webster grew up in rural Mississippi on the Noxubee National Wildlife Refuge in a house without electricity. After graduating from Mississippi State, he served as an Army officer in Germany before beginning his CPA career in Birmingham where he is Chairman emeritus of Borland Benefield CPAs founded in 1922. Webster was one of the founds and former Chairman of BKR International, an affiliation of accountants and consultants headquartered in New York with 160 firms in 80 countries.
Mr. Webster has authored five works of fiction and served on the Alabama Writer’s Forum Board. To rewrite American history in fictional form requires extensive research, travels to 134 countries and interviewing former military and intelligence personnel, journalist, foreign officials and ordinary people.
Webster was recently appointed Treasurer of Whitetail Warriors Project, a nonprofit to provide combat wounded disabled service members and their children hunting opportunities. As a conservationist he was a founder and served as past treasurer of the Alabama Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation. As a mountaineer he has climbed eight major mountains including three of the world's Seven Summits.
Sheldon is married and resides in Birmingham, Alabama and his writer's retreat in Oktoc, Mississippi.
