Skip Garmo

John (Skip) Garmo, PhD, brings years of experience to his writing from his background as a university professor, ordained minister, company president, and founder of an international not-for-profit organization.

Since 2003, Dr. Garmo has spoken to leaders and other groups on five continents as Founder & President of Character Solutions International (www.CharacterSolutions.org), Chairman & CEO of the Mission to Children (www.MissionToChildren.org), international seminar presenter for Pointman Leadership Institute, guest speaker, and adjunct professor in the Middle East.

He is the author of Lifestyle Worship (Nashville: Thomas Nelson Publishers, 1993), Effective Leadership (Escondido, CA: Character Solutions International, 2011), and Executive Editor of the “Cultivating Character” training series for educators and parents (Escondido, CA: Character Solutions International, 2006) that has been translated into 20 languages and presented in 17 countries to more than a million people.

Two of his favorite places to relax are the Pacific Northwest and the southern California desert.

Skip and Jan recently celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary. They are thankful parents of three and delighted grandparents of six.
