Pris Campbell was born and raised in the Carolinas. She received her Ph.D in Clinical Psychology at the University of Illinois then worked in St Louis, Hawaii, New England, traveling to Florida in a 22 foot sailboat, where she now lives in the Greater West Palm Beach with her husband. She began writing poetry in 1999 and has published nine chapbooks and books in the Small Press. One book, a collaboration, was published by Clemson University Digital Press. Her most recent book is Truth and Other Lies from Nixes Mate Books. Her poetry has also appeared in numerous journals and anthologies. Hit by ME/CFS in 1990 she leads a quiet life but reminds herself constantly that the turtle won the race.
