Shane A. Yount

Shane A. Yount is a nationally recognized thought leader, author, and Chairman & Founder of Competitive Solutions, Inc., (CSI) an international Business Transformation consulting firm headquartered in Raleigh, NC. CSI pioneered the acclaimed organizational development system known as Process Based Leadership®, a business transformation methodology designed to create sustainable cultures of clarity, connectivity, and consistency through the use of Non-Negotiable Business Processes. Shane began his career with Perdue Farms, Inc. Having performed such roles as Front Line Supervisor, Operations Manager, Quality Manager, Director of Human Resources, and Corporate Continuous Improvement Champion, Shane brings extensive experience in every aspect of organizational dynamics. His “Real World” process-driven approach to creating and sustaining high performance has led leaders across the world to embrace the Process Based Leadership® methodology as a core operating system to scale and sustain operational excellence. Since 1991 he has led the offices of Competitive Solutions, Inc. (CSI), personally working with such organizations as Pfizer, 3M, Colgate-Palmolive, Revlon, Impossible Foods, the US Army, and countless others. His four books, Buried Alive: Digging out of the Management Dumpster, Leaving Your Leadership Legacy and Leading Your Business Forward: Aligning Goals, People, and Systems for Sustainable Success, and The Secret Superpower of High Functioning Leaders are required reading in many organizations. Shane has been married for 30 years to his wife Stephanie. They have two sons, Parker and Will and a new daughter-in-law, Rachel. Shane and his family have deep roots in North Carolina and in his free time can often be found on his boat off the southern coast of NC. Outside of CSI, Shane loves to snow ski, run competitively, travel, and cheer on his Carolina Hurricanes and UNC Tar Heels.
