D P Acharjya received his Ph. D. in Computer Science from Berhampur University, India. Currently, he is working as a Professor in the School of Computing Sciences and Engineering, at VIT University, Vellore, India. He has authored more than 100 international and national journal papers and 17 book chapters to his credit. Additionally, he has authored four books; Fundamental Approach to Discrete Mathematics, Computer Based on Mathematics, Theory of Computation; Rough Set in Knowledge Representation and Granular Computing to his credit. Also, he has edited ten books to his credit. He has been awarded Gold Medal from NIT, Rourkela; Eminent Academician Award from Khallikote Sanskrutika Parisad, Berhampur, Odisha, India; and Outstanding Educator and Scholar Award from National Foundation for Entrepreneurship Development, Coimbatore, India. He is actively associated with many professional bodies CSI, ISTE, IMS, AMTI, ISIAM, OITS, IACSIT, CSTA, SIAM, and IAENG. He was founder secretary of OITS Rourkela chapter. His current research interests include rough sets, formal concept analysis, knowledge representation, data mining, granular computing, genetic algorithm, business intelligence, and application of computational intelligence techniques in solving problems.
