Mort Laitner

Author, lawyer, building construction manager and teacher are four of the professional hats I have worn. I have published nine books. I have been profiled on the CBS National News with Dan Rather, Life Magazine, Money Magazine, the St. Louis Dispatch and in the New York Times.

I teach Law and Ethics at the masters level at Barry University and Florida International University.

I am a member of the South Florida Writers Association and have been in charge of their annual Mango Writers Conference. I was the editor-in-chief of "Healthy Stories" for six years.

After 37 years as a practicing attorney, I am now devoting my retirement years to the art of writing and lecturing. My short stories have been published in Tales2inspire and in The Author's Voice.

I have a B.A. from the University of Miami and a J.D. Southern University Law School. I am proud to have put my skills into writing "A Hebraic Obsession" a memoir. Read sixty-one (61) positive reviews on Amazon.

I have written the screenplay and produced the short independent film "The Stairs". The movie was accepted into 25 film festivals and won three prizes. The film was shown in eight countries: USA, Israel, Canada, Slovakia, India, Poland, Macedonia and South Africa.

I am presently working on a feature length screenplay for a movie entitled "The Mensch".
