Jerry Haughton

Jerry Haughton is a graduate of Pensacola High School; Mississippi College; New Orleans Baptist Seminary; and Luther Rice University.

Dr. Haughton was a pastor of eight different churches over 50 years. During 15 for those years he was a professor at a Christian college in Memphis, TN. After earning a doctorate in Marriage and Family he served as a therapist for 5 years on a Psych unit in a large hospital.

Since retirement he has authored 24 books on Kindle. These include subjects on Ethics, the Life of Christ, the lives of the apostles Peter and Paul, a study of 48 Psalms, God's Covenants with Israel, Beliefs and Practices of a True Church, the Apostles' Creed, Cults, Doctrines of the Christian Life, and Christian Apologetics. He has also written two novels. One is historical fiction about romance and murder in his family in northwest Florida around 1900. The other is a story about a young man in Wyoming who comes of age while serving as a temporary forest ranger. He struggles with which view of nature is correct: the native American concept, the Eastern philosophy, or the Christian perspective.

For adventure he has been an avid outdoorsman (hunting, fishing, hiking, and backpacking the southern part of the AT). He and his wife live in Woodstock, GA., with their dog, Dietrich.

For relaxation he reads history, theology, philosophy, and psychology and continues to write eBooks drawn from these subjects. "I milk a lot of cows, but I churn my own butter." Read and see.
