Beth Navarro grew up in Downers Grove, Illinois and now lives and writes in Sierra Madre, California. Grambo is her debut picture book. Beth received a Sue Alexander grant honorable mention in 2013 and won first place in the writing contest at SCBWI’s Writer’s Days in 2012. She was also nominated for a Los Angeles Business Journal Women who Make a Difference award in 2012 and 2014 for her writing. She also is the editor for Kite Tales, the California tri-region’s SCBWI newsletter. Her freelance work about her adventures in parenting has been published many times, including in the award winning magazine, Mamalode.
