Professor of Geography and Ecology

His research interests span a wide range of topics in geography and related fields. His research interests involve ecology, ecosystem analysis, geomorphology, vegetation, biogeography, land degradation, land use, ecotourism, natural environment and human interactions, cultural geography and geography education.

He published more than 120 papers in national and international scientific journals. Dr. Efe authored and co-authored/edited 51 books and 15 book chapters in Turkish and English. He presented some 55 papers at international conferences. He organized and chaired 18 national and international conferences and acted as a member of scientific boards. Dr. Efe is the member of several national and international professional academic organizations. He is on the editorial board of several national and international journals.
