Um Daoud (Mother of David) is the pen name of author Carol B. Ghattas, who lived and served in the Middle East and North Africa for over 20 years. She writes these novels out of a love for Muslims and a desire for them to know Jesus Christ as Savior. She also writes that western readers can understand what a Muslim faces in acknowledging and accepting the Good News of Jesus.
Carol co-authored with her late husband, Raouf, "A Christian Guide to the Qur'an: Building Bridges in Muslim Evangelism." Following his death, she published, "A Life Surrendered: Raouf W. Ghattas". Carol is a sought-after speaker on Islam and witness to Muslims and continues to write and share from her education and experiences. She maintains a blog at lifeinexile.net, where she shares about grief, the Middle East, and other topics.
