In 2004 he made national news when he paid for a traffic ticket with 8,200 pennies. The stunt was mentioned on CNN as well as radio shows such as Paul Harvey.
In March 2012, Grant appeared on TruTV's Top 20 Most Shocking Videos, Pranksters Gone Wild 7, in which he plays a funny prank on a former roommate. But Grant's real passion will always be writing exciting fantasy and science-fiction stories for youth of all ages.
Story behind the Story:
MicroWorlds, Time-Link and Instru-Mental were written as separate books. A girlfriend suggested they should be made into a series. Though she was correct about the series idea, the title she proposed "Adventures With Boys" was far from a successful one. G. L. Strytler then came across an interview with the creator of Spanx. She told the assembled crowd that in order for a business to the successful it should have the letter "X" in the title, so the book series was immediately changed to "Xtoriez" with much better results.
Another reason Xtoriez stands out as a book series is because each tale uses pseudoscientific details, as opposed to the protagonist finding a magic wand, magic stone or some out-of-the-blue super power, the character and their outlandish adventure could possibly happen.
