Andrea Colson

I'm Andrea Colson and I have been a missionary in the Pacific islands practically my entire life. I have had many exciting adventures as a missionary, enough to fill two books.

My first book "Reaching the Uttermost Part" tells stories of trips I've taken with my brother and sister across the open ocean, to visit Chuuk's remote outer islands. After 24+ hours at sea, we finally reach the island, where there is no electricity, cell service or running water; only palm trees, tin shacks, and people. We have come to tell them about Jesus, and how they can go from their island, to heaven.

My second book "Let Them Come" shares more stories of my ministry every day, especially with the children. One of the chapters is called "Coconuts and Birthday Cakes" because I like to bake cakes for the children in my Sunday school class on their birthdays. I love teaching the boys and girls about Jesus, and how they can grow up living for Him. Another chapter talks about our family's radio ministry, that reaches many of the islands and villages in Chuuk. Through the radio, people in Chuuk can hear the Gospel in their own language every day, and learn about God and the Bible through the different programs and songs.
