Andrew Zeitlin is Assistant Professor at the McCourt School of Public Policy at Georgetown University. He is also a Non-Resident Fellow at the Center for Global Development, Research Associate at the Centre for the Study of African Economies at Oxford University and the Lead Academic for the International Growth Centre's Rwanda Program.
Dr. Zeitlin's research uses theory-driven field and laboratory experimental methods, together with the collection of observational data, to study the microeconomic mechanisms of economic development. This research focuses on how individuals' preferences interact with external incentives to shape individual decisions in risky and uncertain situations, and to shape the state's capacity to tax and to deliver services.
