Angela Grey is an architectural drafter, painter (oil landscape & abstract watercolor), and hobby writer that enjoys yoga and spirituality classes. She has previously self-published four books under the pseudonym Peyton Mathie. Those are Shades of Grey, Incubator Views, Hayden’s Corner, and Star-Crossed Down Memory Lane. Those accounts were based on her life stories. Angela has also self-published two non-fiction and memoir books. Those are Resilience Throughout Recovery: A Memoir of My Journey through Mental Illness and Beyond Quirky: The descent into the darkness, hallucinations, and delusions of schizophrenia.
She is an enrolled member of the Sisseton-Wahpeton Oyate. Thanks in part to fantastic foster parents, sassy social workers, and outstanding teachers, she’s a family-focused parent of four wonderful young adults.. Although she’s a native of the Lake Traverse reservation in South Dakota, she lived in Brooklyn, New York off and on throughout her childhood. Currently, Angela resides in Eden Prairie, Minnesota with her family. Other hobbies include Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), camping, and budget travel.
Note: The pseudonym was derived from the first name of her daughter’s childhood friend and the surname of a coworker at approximately the same time frame. In one she saw signs of my past and the latter, hopefully, her future.
