Samuel Best

Samuel Best grew up in Linlithgow, central Scotland, writing weird stories about the supernatural. He graduated with a first class degree in Creative Writing from the University of Strathclyde, where he began writing his first novel, Scots black comedy ‘Shop Front’. Samuel was the founder and editor of Octavius, a literary magazine which featured over 150 writers and published three sell-out editions, and ran Aloe, a charity anthology supporting UK and Irish medical staff during the coronavirus pandemic.

Between chapters, Samuel's shorter fiction has been published in many UK, American, and European magazines. You can find much of his writing at www.samuelbest.weebly.com and on social media @storiesbysamuel.
