Andre Averbug

Andre Averbug grew up in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and has also lived in the United States, Spain, England and Canada. He contributes to blogs and journals with short stories, essays, as well as professional articles. He has been inspired by a wide array of authors, including Clarice Lispector, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Mia Couto, Charles Bukowski, Noah Gordon and Albert Camus, as well as musicians like Paco de Lucia, Bob Dylan, and Antonio Carlos Jobim.

Trained in economics, he received graduate degrees from the University of London and McGill University, and is also a serial entrepreneur. He currently resides with his family in the Washington, D.C., area.
