Michela Grimaldi

I was born in Tuscany but live near Rome. Graduated from the Higher School for Interpreters and Translators, I dedicated myself, still very young, to teaching the Italian language to foreign students. My students were a little younger than me and it was easy to establish friendly relations with them, while respecting the role I held.

This close contact with them and their adolescent problems led me to the conviction that the only way to improve the society in which we live is to educate children, from an early age, to respect others, the love of family, solidarity... in short, civil coexistence.

For this reason, many years ago, I chose to write for children; stories, fairy tales, nursery rhymes, holiday homework, games, puzzles... I always made sure that my books were fun but at the same time educational, both didactic and behavioural. Then, meeting and marrying a children’s book illustrator later in life was the icing on the cake!
