Ewart Rouse

Ewart Rouse began writing fiction after decades of reporting for the Guardian in his native Trinidad, the Associated Press in Washington and the Inquirer in Philadelphia, as well as teaching journalism at Temple, Rutgers, and Arcadia universities.

That his first works of fiction would have a cricket theme is no coincidence.

When he migrated to the United States in the 1970s, Rouse brought his prized cricket bat with him. Since then he has been involved in the game as a player, team manager, and activist – experiences that provided the material for his “Sticky Wicket” series.
