Sandy Hargrove

Sandy Hargrove (1946-Present) was born in Denver, Colorado. She received training as a historian and archeologist and earned a Master's Degrees in History and took an additional 80+ credits toward an MA in Anthropology. Sandy taught for 30 years in Poudre School District in Fort Collins at both the high school and junior high school levels. She was awarded several grants including a teacher trip to Japan and another trip with The National Geographic Society on a US Naval Research vessel to Italy, Greece, and Tunisia.

Retired since 2001, Sandy continues to travel extensively. As an early eBay merchant, Sandy wrote several guides that stimulated her current interest in writing books. The first book printed was "Maya Mexico Jewelry" which has since been revised. That book was initially written to "learn the ropes" before publishing a biography on the mysterious English Romantic artist, Florence Harrison.

Sandy resides with her husband and numerous cats in their home which they have named "The Shire", in honor of Tolkien's stories.
