Michael James Jaquish

Michael James Jaquish was born in Omak, Washington, USA in 1948. His mother was a writer, a poet, a yoga practitioner, and an intellectual who influenced Michael to grow up examining all aspects of the human condition. He became a serious student of Buddhist philosophy while in his teens and paradoxically, entered Law Enforcement where he rose to the position of Chief of Police before moving on to West Africa to serve as director of security for US Embassy operations in Liberia, Sierra Leone and Gambia. While there he provided security and logistical support for the NASA Space Shuttle Abort Landing sites in The Gambia and Morocco. Since returning to the United States Michael has worked as an International Security Consultant and a writer. He has degrees in Criminal Law and Business Administration and has written over twenty books.
