Loretta Scott Miller

A California native, Loretta Scott Miller grew up in Los Gatos, CA, in what is now known as Silicon Valley. During a thirty-year career with Lockheed Martin, she worked on government and military contracts in the areas of programming, factory and field testing of Remotely Piloted Vehicles (today’s drones) and Systems Engineering for the exploitation of digital satellite imagery. She completed her first novel, A Ride On The Trojan Horse, shortly before retiring in 1997. She finished her second novel, Cypher, after retirement and established a small independent press, Shannon Road Press, using Print On Demand technology. After life changing events in 2010, she stopped POD publishing (although all books done by Shannon Road Press remain available), and relocated to Citrus Heights, CA (NE of Sacramento).

From 1999 to present, Loretta has volunteered with Golden Retriever Rescue, and currently lives with three (of the eight) goldens she adopted during that time: Beau, Dillon, and LL Bean. She is a member of Mystery Writers of America and Sisters in Crime.
