Marc Pagani

Photographer, musician, educator, climber, Ironman triathlete, and author Marc Pagani has been creating images since 1993. He has photographed a diverse range of subjects including the Tamang, Gurung, and Sherpa people of Nepal, monks in Tibet, caballeros in Argentina, schoolchildren in Patagonia, mountain and rock climbers in Argentina, Chile, Cuba, Iceland, Mexico, Nepal, Tibet, the US, and France, sea-kayakers, local tribal chiefs, and rock climbers in Vietnam, prisoners in the United States, and Mardi Gras Indians in his hometown of New Orleans. His background as a Music Therapist working with sexually and physically abused kids, his education towards a Master's in Counseling Psychology, and his travels have helped shape his world view.

Besides being named one of the Top Ten Artistic Wedding Photojournalists in the World for 2009 by the Artistic Guild of the Wedding Photojournalist Association, and being named a “Best of Weddings” pick for 2011 by theKnot.com, his “Mountaineers” series was the the 2008 First Place winner of the Photojournalism: Sports Category of the Prix de la Photographie in Paris. His editorial work has been for magazines such as Outside, Book, Adventure World, unVailed, Groupeez, Sea Ray Living, as well as newspapers, websites, and complete catalogs for outdoor gear supply shops and outdoor clothing companies. He was the official expedition photographer for British Explorer Mark Wood’s attempt on Mount Everest in 2013.
