Majok Tulba

Majok Tulba was born in Pacong Village in South Sudan. He fled war-torn South Sudan as a sixteen-year-old, and now lives in Sydney with his wife and children. He was awarded a NSW Premier's CAL Literary Centre Fellowship. Beneath the Darkening Sky is his first novel and was shortlisted for: New South Premier’s Literary Awards-community Relations commission Award 2013, Commonwealth Book Prize 2013, the Dylan Thomas Prize 2013 and won Kathleen Mtichell Literary Award 2014.

Majok Tulba was named one of the Sydney Morning Herald's Best Young Novelists of the Year in 2013.
