Mark Falzini is a retired archivist who, after retirement, became a professionally trained pastry chef specializing in French pastry, though he pursues it as a hobby rather than a career. Driven by his passion for genealogy and his family's rich heritage, Mark continues his lifelong love of historical research and writing. He has published six books, including Samuel S. Kale Beyond the Battlefield: A Story of Courage, Conflict, and Compassion (2024), Letters Home: The Story of an American Military Family in Occupied Germany 1946-1949 (2004), The Siege at Jutland (2014), and One Square Mile: A History of Trenton Junction, New Jersey (2018). Mark is currently curating the Kale Family Archive: Generations of Service, Memory, and History, a unique collection spanning over two centuries of family documents, photographs, and artifacts. He resides in New Jersey, with his Scottish Terrier, Jock, and enjoys sharing his passion for baking and history with others.
