It has been a very long struggle to get both The Warren and Melanie the Badger finished and published; thank all of you who stayed with me for the long journey, there are at least six other animal novels behind these.

In The Warren series of animal novels will be; "The Warren" (Completed), "Melanie the Badger"(completed) "Aataentsic" (Completed), and "The Watcher by The Wall" (Working on it).

In my second series of animal novels there will be; "Revenant" (Completed), "Revenant: Dragon in the Snow" (Partially completed), "Revenant: Tyger, Tyger" (Partially completed), and "Revenant: Wolf Pack".

My intention was always to make all my animal novels, as available as possible to as many people as possible, at reasonable prices. Both Amazon.com and Redemption Press are now doing that.

These are some things written in 2011, I thought you might enjoy now:

"Just a Rabbit"

"It's never "Just a Rabbit" to me. In fact the story, "Just a Bunny" in my Rabbit novel "The Warren" is about this sort of comment, and people who make the comment.

To me "Just a Rabbit" means: "Just a Companion that loves you unreservedly"

"Just a Child that you have to care for because they are dependent on you for their lives and their training, as a child is for the same things". "Just Another Saved Life that counts on the positive side of your ledger in Heaven".

"Just an Act of Kindness that makes you feel good inside."

That's what "Just a Rabbit" means to me; and it applies to all other creatures also."

"The Creatures We Love"

"They live with you just long enough for you to find your lives revolving around them; and they fall in love with you, as you fall in love with them. Then they pass onward to run forever free; while they wait for you to see them again."

Fred L. Tate, July 28, 2011

"Rabbit", Noun., 1. Any of various swift burrowing animals (order Lagomorpha) characterized by soft fur, long ears, a stubby tail, and the bearing of naked young. 2. A soft furry loving creature that will bond totally with you, love you unreservedly, and wait for you to come home every night. Will wait anxiously for you to notice it; and give it food, and treats, and toys, and the love that it knows you have for it...And in ten years, or less, will totally break your heart; until you get another one."

Fred L. Tate, 2011

Wrote this for rabbit lovers originally; but, after seeing Fiona Norrie's post in "Guinea Pigs rule the world" about the loss of her "Twister", modified it for all of the Guinea Piggy lovers;

"Guinea Pig", Noun, 1. Any of various small plump rodents (genus Cavia) with short ears and no external tail. 2. A soft furry loving creature that will bond totally with you, love you unreservedly, go "Wheek! Wheek!" at odd hours of the night just to get your attention, and wait for you to come home every night so it can "Wheek!" again at the sight of your coming back to give it attention and love. Will wait anxiously for you to notice it ("Wheek!"); and give it food, treats, toys, and the love that it knows you have for it...And in too few years, will totally break your heart; until you get another one."
