Julia Donner

Julia Donner (aka M.L.Rigdon) grew up in historic Galena, IL, USA, and spent most of her time in the museum of her aunt, who encouraged her interest in history and understood the need to cherish a dream. She started writing in secret in her teens and never stopped, merging it with her mother's encouragement to study theater and music, which led to performing in the Midwest, California and as far away as Austria.

Her favorite genres are regency and fantasy, but since she loves to read everything, she also writes contemporary and YA fantasy. (Yes, she knows you're supposed to stick to one genre but can't stop herself.)

Rigdon has nineteen tiles on Kindle as Donner, and eleven as M.L. Rigdon, including the final book in the awarding winning SEASONS OF TIME trilogy. The new fantasy trilogy SEASONS OF WAR, is available now with SEASONS OF THE VARIENTS in progress.

THE TIGRESSE AND THE RAVEN, first book in the regency Friendship Series, is an RWA contest finalist. Western historical romance, AVENUE TO HEAVEN, is the first in the Westward Bound series. NO EASY STREET and DROVER'S LANE are available now.

CAPTAIN HARDESY'S LEGACY, sixteenth book in the regency Friendship Series is available now. All of her works are stand alone. She's a firm believer in HEA.

Donner/Rigdon never forgot what it was like to write alone as a girl and is a happy member of Summit City Scribes. Concern for the failing educational system led her to develop Your Futures in Ink, a panel of local and regional authors, who go into to schools to encourage students and answer questions about writing.

She also assisted poet Mia Elkovsky Phoebus in the compilation of AN I NOT LEFT BEHIND, WALKING THE DUNES WITH TENNESSEE WILLIAMS. A free MP3 with the poet reading her own works comes with her last collection, AND IF...available on Amazon. With the passing of Ms. Phoebus in October 2016, Rigdon now holds the rights to all of Mia's literary works and welcomes questions about her fascinating, turbulent life.
