Andrew McDiarmid

Andrew C McDiarmid has traveled all over the world. While he grew up in the Pacific Northwest, the United States Navy took him from Los Angeles to Antarctica and everywhere in between. Andrew writes fiction that celebrates the diversity of the world we live in. Andrew has published six books.

The newest novel arriving December 2024 is "LOOWIT FALLS" which tells the adventures of the Morningside family. A family of magic folk who are settling in the lower Columbia river valley, and who find they are not the only magical beings in the Pacific Northwest. Some have been waiting for their arrival for centuries.

"HUMMINGBIRD LANE" is his latest collection of short stories and poetry. After creating DREWISHBOOKS on Facebook, I made it a point to write one short essay a week for a year. "Hummingbird Lane" is those essays and poetry edited by a careful hand.

"PATHWAYS" is a collection of essays that explores the application of faith, love and loss in one's life. This unique collection of memoirs and poetry were inspired by recently finding a quality place of worship and events that led to examining and assessing my path of faith.

"BRIARPATCH" is a full length novel that follows five men on an adventure through the streets of Las Vegas.

"SMOKE" and "BRETHREN" have been termed "friction" by his fans. There are moments of sexual content.

"Bootblacking 101" is a very basic review of the bootblacking process, and some recollections of his competing in the International Mr Leather bootblacking contest.

He is currently on the board of directors of International Voices Houston, and sings baritone in the chorus.
