Lothar Reichel

Lothar Reichel, born in Schweinfurt in 1957, is a journalist and writer. His debut, "Winnetou darf nicht sterben" (Winnetou must not die), was chosen as the October Book of the Month for Young People in 1995. Since 2011, he writes crime novels set in the Franconian town of Schweinfurt. In 2014, he also published the novel "Insel der Dämonen" (Island of Demons), which deals with Bali, the writer Vicki Baum and the painter Walter Spies. Lothar Reichel lives near Schweinfurt in Northern Bavaria.
