I've lived several lives, and each one has shaped my writing in unexpected ways.
Twenty years as an Air Force avionic technician took me from Texas to Germany and eventually Florida. After retirement, I jumped into law enforcement—reserve police officer and 911 operator—before spending another twenty-one years in the elevator trade. Along the way, I picked up the steel drum, discovered karaoke, and started writing songs.
In 2007, inspired by our first grands=child's miraculous birth, I wrote my first song, “What Do Angels Really Do”. That single song sparked eighty more, all produced and on YouTube. More importantly, songwriting cracked open a door I'd been curious about for years: writing books.
In 2013, I published my first book and never looked back. I've tackled science fiction with my "Architects" series, explored comedy with Paradise Pending, created joke books and coloring books, ventured into satire, and developed children's learning titles. My "Yama-Yama Ding-Dong Adventure Series"—inspired by my grandson's beloved stuffed llama—has become my most ambitious project: ten books following a rainbow-colored llama and her animal friends through magical adventures.
I've been married to the same wonderful woman since 1980. We have two sons and four extraordinary grandchildren. These days, we're settled in Biloxi, Mississippi, where I'm writing, singing, playing music, and living the creative life I always imagined.
