Dan Brannan

Dan Brannan was born in 1948 in Marietta, Ohio. Upon graduation from high school he served two consecutive tours of duty in Vietnam, where he was awarded three Bronze Stars and the Purple Heart. He returned to a nation in turmoil. For four years he struggled to adjust. Ever restless he changed jobs frequently; searching for something but not at all certain as to what. Then one day, while riding his motorcycle he rode by a small airport, he saw a sign that read Cessna rides 30 minutes $10. He stopped and took that ride; three months later he had his private pilots license. He then enrolled at The Ohio State University where he completed all of his requirements to become an airline pilot. For nearly 30 years he enjoyed a career that included flying internationally;as a manager and instructor; as a corporate executive; and as an elected officer of the Airline Pilots Association, International. Although a 30 plus year airline veteran Dan's career ended abruptly and not at all as he envisioned. After losing his job and with it nearly all of his retirement savings, he was then diagnosed with cancer. As therapy Dan began to write. In his first book "Unpackin'-The Baggage of Life: Live, Learn, Grow Dan chronicles his life and the lessons he has learned. It's a book that tells the story of how our accumulated life's baggage can...and will... prevent anyone from finding peace, joy, and happiness.
