Joe Snuffy

"Joe Snuffy" (1964- ) is the pen name of a certain survivalist author and civilizational collapse theorist.

Snuffy has experienced societal decline at a personal level, being directly affected by socio-economic events since the early 1970's, which resulted in his being abandoned by his father at the age of 11 after his mother's death, and placed into California's foster care system. During this period of his life, Snuffy learned some valuable takeaways: Don't trust anyone. Particularly people within the system, or government.

These takeaways served Snuffy well, as he was able, for instance, to have a very successful reserve military career, without actually being a victim of the US Government's illegal wars, post 9/11.

Snuffy's transitioning into a survivalist is the result of intellectual study in resource depletion (primarily oil) and climate change, having performed fusion on a myriad of research studies over the years, from the MIT/Club of Rome's 1972 "Limits to Growth" study, to the latest climate research, to tracking the current production profile data of oil fields around world.

Snuffy had also discovered while on periods of military active duty that classified information relating to energy and climate issues were basically the same information one would get from the progressive media, i.e., interviews and lectures with radical academics, historians, environmentalists, etc.

Snuffy focuses on the "blocking and tackling" aspects of survivalism/preparedness, in order for people to maintain a quality of life in the present, while transitioning to a more financially and materially self-reliant lifestyle, regardless of what may happen, within our lifetimes.

He also collaborates with James Wesley, Rawles, as one of a handful of subject matter experts for Rawles' novels. As a retired US Army Intelligence Officer, Snuffy graduated from the same Military Intelligence Officer Basic Course (MIOBC) as Rawles, as an All Source Intelligence Officer (35D).
