Glenn Barth has a well-deserved reputation as a visionary and innovator among faith based leaders mobilizing people to serve cities. He is the President of GoodCities and author of The Good City: Transformed Lives Transforming Communities.
Mobilizing the Christian community to address key needs in cities has been central to his ministry beginning in the mid-1970s. He has helped pastors and faith leaders around the world engage in effective community-wide outreach including intensive work with leaders in Mississippi in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. He has worked with Christian faith-based leaders in eighty cities in the USA, Canada, the UK, The Netherlands, India, and Kenya.
Glenn has a Doctor of Ministry degree in Transformational Leadership for the Global City from Bakke Graduate University where he received the Bakke Scholar award and was a member of the first cohort. He has a an MDiv from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary (1984) where he was named Outstanding Student in Theological Studies. He is a 1977 graduate of Denison University. Glenn and his wife, Kathy, have enjoyed 36 years of marriage and are empty nesters with four grandchildren.
