Frank Doorhof was born in the Netherlands in a family of hobby photography and video enthusiasts so it was no surprise he started photography at a very early age.
Frank and his wife Annewiek ran a successful IT business for over 20 years before switching to photography 100% in 2013, up until then Frank was running the studio next to the IT business but because of the success for the photography business it made sense to focus on photography.
Frank is a well known speaker for many brands including Elinchrom, Sony, Rogue, DxO, Tethertools etc. and you can find him on almost all large trade shows.
From his studio in Emmeloord he teaches workshops twice a week, and also travels abroad to do the workshops on often stunning locations. Over the years he released 10 instructional videos and has several videos on KelbyOne.
In 2010 Frank was the first European instructor to join the group of KelbyTraining (now KelbyOne) which includes the top instructors in the field, Frank has been speaking on events like Photoshop World for KelbyMedia ever since.
Mastering the modelshoot was the first book that was released internationally and was brought to life thanks to the help of the whole editing team at KelbyMedia and Scott himself who worked very closely with Frank on this project.
Frank has also released a Dutch book for Van Duuren media called "the magic of the small flash" which is in Dutch "De magie van de kleine flitser".
