Steve owned the Polo Grounds sports bar, wrote a monthly sports column for the San Francisco Marina Times, founded the sketch comedy group TunnelVision, and produced a $30,000 feature comedy film, "Show Me The Aliens!" He's been profiled by the New York Times, and been a frequent guest on sports radio and NPR affiliates.
His writing has appeared in The San Francisco Chronicle, Barbaric Yawp, Centralbooking, The Dirty Goat, Lullwater Review, The MacGuffin, The American Book Review, Spitball, Mobius, and SoMa Literary Review. Steve won honors from the Lorian Hemingway Fiction Writing Contest, and was a finalist for the William Faulkner award.
One of Steve's favorite jobs was writing the biographies on the backs of baseball cards for the Helmar Baseball Art Card Company. Steve lives near San Francisco, where he is frequently spotted at baseball games, both amateur and professional. See you at the ballpark!
