Walt Rosenfeld

Walt Rosenfeld was born in Chicago, and spent his high school years in Southern California, getting his BA in English from UCSanta Barbara. His work history includes a stint as a contractor for the Department of Defense. He's moved around quite a bit, so - no matter where you are - Walt can probably be considered a local author. Locations include: Southern California, Colorado, Illinois, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and Texas.

Ok, enough of the 3rd person. :) I think back on my life, and am amazed I'm still alive. I have deep respect for veterans, and that - more than anything - is where Slain in the Spirit started.

It says to add "personal anecdotes". I'm not a real teller of my own tales. I'm happy to share anything in conversation! But typing it out here --- it feels vain, or worse - uninteresting.

I'm a good and decent man doing my absolute level best to live an honorable life. While we all put a bit of ourselves into our art, I am not Bill. He's in a dark place, doing unsavory things. and I do not mean to glorify his hedonistic life.

Exactly the opposite. I'm trying to show others who may be in that hole a way out of it.

I hope Slain in the Spirit and all future books are entertaining page-turners! And at the same time, offer something for those who want to go a bit deeper. In Slain in the Spirit, the range goes from Bill's PTSD to issues with women's body image. I also do things with colors - black and white - orange and gold - blue - all are used at specific times.

Thank you ever so much for buying my book! Working on both the sequel to Slain in the Spirit, and a YA Paranormal, Sci-fi, Western - yeah yeah, crossing genres isn't a good idea, but I can't help myself. :)
