Gabriele Coltorti

Gabriele Coltorti (1978-) is born and lives in Milan.

He graduated in Humanities in 2002. During the Doctoral Fellowship in History (2003-2006) he attended for three years to a research concerning suppressions of convents and monasteries in the Napoleonic kingdom of Italy (1808-1814).

His first book, "Cesare Beccaria visto da Fulvio e Gabriele Coltorti", which he wrote with his father Fulvio Coltorti, won the "Santa Margherita Ligure" Award as the best book of Economics of the year 2008.

In 2012 he published his second book of History: "I Lombardi contro l'Italia di Napoleone" which is a survey on the Milanese Revolution happened on 20th of April 1814.

He is the editor of the blog "Il Monitore Milanese" (www.monitoremilanese.com) where he posts notes and articles about History, Politics, Milanese History, Society.
