Toni Rae was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri. While at Park University, she earned a degree in Social Psychology. Toni taught English in South Korea for a year in 2008, at an all girls high school and preschool, which is where she began the writing of her first book, I Dated This Guy Once… Toni donates copies of her books to female prison projects across the country, in hopes that women will learn from her past mistakes, and come to know the true meaning of what is important in this life.
Her second book, The Wo Code, was published in 2014, and is a witty, spin off of NY Times Bestseller - The Bro Code, written by character Barney Stinson of How I Met Your Mother. It is a humorous quick read, and a rather bold response to The Bro Code.
Toni just moved back home to KC in 2017 from 5 years in NYC, spending her last year out East in Harbour Point, CT. She is now happily married to Adam Forrester, a modern day MadMan, who works in advertising with VMLY&R. The couple welcomed their first son to the family in early 2020, second son in 2021, and daughter in 2022.
