Melanie McNeice

Melanie McNeice is an author, textiles and sewing pattern designer based in the leafy outskirts of Melbourne, Australia. Melly's adventures in sewing were born 9 years ago after she found herself a stay at home mum with the desire to still be productive. Melly's passion for sewing grew quickly and in 2006 she tried her hand at design under the pattern label "Melly & me"

Melly's goals are to publish a range of contemporary books and sewing patterns that include clear instructions to create bright and quirky toys, wearable purses as well as fun and modern quilts. Melanie aims to design items that are original and fun, achievable in a day, as well as being completely useable in everyday life!

Since their beginnings Melly & me has grown to appeal to a worldwide audience. Melly has designed in excess of 100 patterns, published her first four books, and teaches across Australia. Melly began her journey in fabric design in 2010 and has released 6 fabric collections since this time.

Melly takes inspiration from her two young children, childhood memories, the beauty of nature, as well as her love of fun and color!
