Different things inspire and drive us. Each artist or writer takes inspiration from different things and in different ways. Me, with both my writing and painting things just seem to start forming in my head. There are times I have an idea what I want to do but more times than not those plans get changed mid stream and I get pulled or pushed in directions I was not expecting. My greatest join comes from pushing through the difficult stretches. Inevitably, there are parts of the project that things don't seem to be working out and that is the time where a lot of people quit because it is quite maddening. But, each and every time I push through that and end up being happy with what came as a result. Creative work is so subjective and I have learned it is darn near impossible for everyone to like everything an artist does so I learned a long time ago, just be happy with what you do and for me it is a way to release what is inside.
