Jake Soister

Hi guys! My name is Jake Soister and I'm extremely excited to be introducing my debut novel 'The Life He Knew' on Amazon Kindle. The story is an extremely personal one for me - one that draws on private experiences as well as early and enduring influences that have impacted my life. I began writing it nearly four years ago during what I've come to jokingly refer to as my "quarter-life-crisis." It was a tumultuous time for me, one full of doubts and insecurities and pervasive apprehensions. I didn't know where my life was going or what direction I wanted to take from one day to the next. Like my main character, Zach, I felt lost and more than a little disappointed that I didn't have a better sense of self... or self purpose. Combine that with some super-charged, supernatural elements of pop-culture that I strove to re-imagine and you have the recipe I followed to create 'The Life He Knew'. Subtle instead of obvious and (hopefully) more original than formulaic, my "umbrella" approach to this mixed genre book has been a tremendous work of passion... one that I sincerely hope will resonate with you and leave you anxiously awaiting future projects.
