Jan Ziff

I come from a long family tradition of storytellers.

My mother, Ann Rachlin, and sister Trisha Ziff are both published authors whose works are widely available on Amazon, Kindle and Audible. In fact, one of my ancestors even had "storyteller" listed as his profession! All of us are passionate about words and images that tell stories, and often find those stories in places no one would look to for inspiration!

While traveling with my co-author, Allan, we decided to bring to young English speaking kids some of the extraordinary picture books we've discovered. Of course, the challenge was to find the best and then ensure that we kept the magic of the stories after they were translated into English. Now that the series is a reality, we’re proud that our adaptations have won such great praise from everybody who've seen them!

So meet my new series — "The World of Children’s Picture Books” — featuring stories from across the world, starting with Asia, specifically China. I think you’ll love them and if you do, please write and tell us about your experiences so we can keep making them even better.

But before I go, let me tell you a bit more about me.

Many of you will know me from “SoundBytes”, the national CBS News technology show that I co-founded with Allan and which has aired continuously for 30 years! Before that I spent many years as the BBC State Dept correspondent and appeared regularly on major US and international networks. Additionally, I co-wrote the successful Heckerty series of children’s books. You’ll also find a lot of my work on Audible — just search for my name!

So please, check out our new books — we plan to ship one extraordinary new story every 10 days or so. I know you’ll love them, too!
