Grant McFetridge

Dr. Grant McFetridge is the research director for the Institute for the Study of Peak States (www.PeakStates.com), a small worldwide research, teaching, and treatment organization. They are applying the new field of subcellular psychobiology to finding treatments for a number of currently untreatable physical and mental diseases and disorders.

A graduate of Stanford University in electrical engineering, Dr. McFetridge worked in research and development and also taught EE at Cal Poly in California (which he still enjoys doing occasionally as time permits). Motivated by a desire to do something with a more direct benefit for humanity, by the 1990s he started tackling the question of why people don't all have exceptional physical and mental health. To study this, he developed an original trauma-healing regression technique ideal for investigating prenatal development, and also acquired a PhD in clinical psychology. His multidisciplinary approach eventually led to the discovery of how subcellular biology causes psychological and physical symptoms.

The Institute's research work is partially described in several textbooks written by Dr. McFetridge; his colleague Paula Courteau's Whole-Hearted Healing Workbook is also an excellent resource for people interested in trauma healing. Dr. McFetridge lives on Hornby Island, British Columbia, Canada.
