Steven A. Carlson

Steven Carlson is a retired accountant who has served as an elder at Holt Christian Church in Holt, Michigan since the early 1990's and a Sunday School teacher for an adult class for more than 20 years. In that class he has taught many books of the Bible. He also spent two full years walking the class through the roughly 400 years between the Old and New Testaments.

Steven began writing when some of his beliefs on baptism were challenged by a close friend. He decided that, rather than facing a lengthy argumentative verbal debate, he would write his views on that particular topic. This resulted in an unanticipated 300+ page book. He then chose to write on other challenging topics such as spiritual gifts, predestination, grace/works, etc. For the individual who seeks a well-rounded understanding of biblical doctrine, Steven's books offer profound insight that is not provided by most Bible commentators.

If you plan on reading one of Steven's books, you should prepare yourself, since it will not be a light read. There is no wasted space. Every sentence - every word - is focused on the topic at hand. A single paragraph can often hold as much information as an entire chapter in other books. Nonetheless, everything that is written is thoroughly explained and is supported in depth with facts and biblical references. Still, for the person who seeks biblical understanding, these books offer a wealth of knowledge.
